Left and right still center on death by government

Okay, so yes, we’ve got to admit that our belief against state-sanctioned murder, ie, the death penalty, does have a spiritual basis in its nature. The question that swirls around the heads of people like us goes something like this: How can we, as individuals and as a collective race, advance spiritually by continually killing each other off, or condoning the killing off of those we deem socially unfit?

We, at Stolen Boy, don’t believe we can. To advance spiritually, to raise one’s consciousness, which would expand our collective consciousness, which in turn would change the violent reality of the world we’ve created around us, we need to divest ourselves from harmful thoughts. There are many who believe this to be the case anyway.

That we are in the middle of a major collective consciousness transformation, moving away from incessant and compulsive and destructive nature of thought and mind, to our higher vibrating, more peaceful state of natural Being. The idea is that by removing ourselves from our mind, and placing our Being at the center of our existence, we will align ourselves with the energies of transforming into the peaceful, loving existence from which we originated. A return to The Garden, so to speak.

With this in mind, we decided to take a look at the criminals, er, politicians who’re funning for office this November for the good ol’ US of A. From what we could find, it appears as though none of the candidates, from either major party, are grounded with any kind of spiritual essence. At least that’s what the facts seem to indicate.

Maybe it’s just politics as usual. Or maybe the two sides of the same donkey are just jockeying for a little political edge with their lameness. But it is that time of the year again, where we’re going to have to make a decision as to whom will head our fearless façade of state leadership. And so we hope by covering the candidates’ positions re America’s second favorite pastime, death-by-state, we can help you decide which killer candidates should preside til the witching hour of 2012.

SARAH PALIN

The woman basks in the glow of state-sanctioned killings. Even though her home state of Alaska does not have a death penalty, the heir-apparent to Dick Cheney’s throne has said she’d sign capital punishment into law if she could find a legislature to pass a bill. From the looks of the attached photo, it appears Ms. Palin is also looking at bringing back the swimming pool firing squad. Is that Jeb Bush drinking the Schlitz behind her?

JOHN MCCAIN

The only bowling ball in the race, McCain supports the death penalty for federal crimes, has supported legislation to allow the death penalty for acts of terrorism, and has been quoted as saying he would consider expansion of the capital punishment laws for other crimes. Stolen Boy has been unable to confirm the rumors that he wants to change the mode of state-sponsored death from lethal injection to carpet bombing.

JOE BIDEN

The man loves death by government. He provided the driving force behind the Violent Crime Control Act of 1994, which created several new federal capital offenses, including bad grammar emanating from blogs critical of lame-assed politicians.

BARACK OBAMA

This wolf in sheep’s clothing believes the death penalty “does little to deter crime,” but he does support it for cases in which “the community is justified in expressing the full measure of its outrage.” Oh joy, let the sick communities dictate which of it’s sickest members qualify for public whacking.
